NCT U & Debut Teasers
Okay, let me start with these. To be honest i found this theory and it was amazing. This was really specific on each tiny detail and i love it how it was pulled together. I really want to base my theory on this one and continue it further.
I can just copy it here too, but i wanted to credit the original writers of this theory at least by putting the original source of this theory in here. Lemme skip the intro and put the actual theory from this site to here. So please note that everything under this is not my writing!
1. The NCT Logo Theory
This theory is trying to break down NCT-U logo that is shown in their
website and on the 1st picture teaser of each member. This theory is
explaining the concept of the theory. I made this theory based on using
the circles and arrows of the logo as clock. This is the original logo
of NCT-U and to make it easier, RebelB2uty helped me to put each circle on a clock.
as seen from the illustration, each arrow are located on a certain point of the clock. These are the points, to be exact:1. N: 8:00 - 10:00 - 4:00 - 2:00
2. C: 3:00 - 9:00 - 12:00*
3. T: 3:00 - 11:00 - 12:00 - 6:00 - 3.12*
*) will be explained below
As for C12:00, if the arrow is laid down as a clock and follow the direction of a clock, the arrow starts from 3:00 and ends at 12:00. And for T3:12, the starting point of the arrow is not really on 3:00, but on the 1st short line between 3 and 4, which in time means 3:12.
I believe this is something about the release time of the teaser. SO FAR, the theory works. But I am still working on the connection of it with the logos on the teaser picture.
Next, the united NCT logo.
The
red U obviously means the U in the NCT-U name. But, the U is split in
half by the T, which is weirdly the only alphabet in dotted arrow. The
top part of the T also pointed to the half part. Aoora helped me a bit
in this theory and suggested that it means the split time slots for U1
for the left side and U2 for right side (as NCT-U has 2 line up).So far, U1 does reveal teasers on the left side time slots (8:00, 9:00, 11:00 and 12:00), either in the morning and the night. But this theory still need more development as more teasers is coming.
2. NCT Universe Theory - This theory is made by our genius friend, Aoora.
She already posted hers on NCT thread and it was organized nicely, so I will quote them under the spoiler.
Going back to February 1st, 2016. It was the release of 7th Sense (because I don’t need to make a theory for SOYD, duh). It had a trainee that no one knows in the end. No one understood what 7th Sense was trying to say or what type of concept that the teaser was using. The main focus on 7th Sense was Winwin.
April 4th, 2016. Ten’s debut teaser was released today. His first teaser had “The 7th Sense” on it: Winwin’s teaser name.
What was the “7th Sense” that both Winwin and Ten mentioned on their teasers: Let’s go back again to February 1st, when I posted this theory that I found at a website who talked about senses and stuff:

sense, but most do so unconsciously. You are using your seventh sense
when you ask the Universe a question and receive the answer as your own
thought with such clarity, there is no doubt. It is pure knowing.

Think of Winwin’s teaser now. When he closed his eyes, he could see everything that was happening: Universe answered his question.
But where is the sense? I have more theories to prove it.
Some Korean News sites already confirmed one thing: One unit. Two singles sang by two different sub-units.
NCT-U is the unit. The SOYD teaser has 5 boys, but look: NCT website mentioned 6 boys: Mark, Tem, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Doyoung and Taeil. But where is Taeil?
All the 6th senses are according to this website:

So if each sub-unit of NCT-U HAS 6 members, so there is one (The 7th member) that will rotate between the units and THAT’S WHY he is not mentioned in the oficial website or on the teasers. But Taeil ALSO didn’t showed up in Ten’s and Mark’s SOYD teasers, so: Taeil is the universe (that’s why he didn’t showed up (yet), he might be the universe and the only thing that we can hear is his voice answering) and the unknown member is the one who made the answer for the universe. So BOTH might rotate between the units; BUT the “answer” might be other member as well if SM wishes that in the future, who knows.
So in this case: We would have two units, NCT-U 1 “debuting” with Synchronization of your dreams and NCT-U 2 “debuting” with 7th Sense. And their music would be also connected to each other. Why? Most of people perceive and use their “7th Sense” while they are uncouncious. Sleep is a kind of uncounciousness. So if NCT are doing a synchronization of their dreams, they are using also their 7th sense. And each dream they had (The Origin, SOYD, 7th Sense) was the universe answering them while connecting all the ones who was using their 7th sense AT THE SAME TIME. And the universe is trying to find the entire group who knows their “7th sense”.
And this explain why there is a boy in the end of 7th Sense that no one knows who it is: He was also connecting his dreams to Winwin (7th Sense) and Taeyong (SOYD), but he wasn’t introduced... yet. (EDIT: pic restriction, can be seen here)
Then, all of their dreams has started as a lucid dream to find their 7th Sense uncounsciously, because to start a lucid dream, it’s basically: Imagine a path to a door and after that, imagine that whatever you want is on the other side of the door. Open the door and what you want to dream will be there. In NCT’s case, they will be synchronizating their dreams with other member, BUT, it has a consequence: The dream of the other member is stopped.
Taeyong’s wakes upo n his dream in SOYD, but he’s not really awake. As Taeyong enters on a synchronization, Winwin’s wake up of his synchronization, indicating that his dream was stopped momentarily, but Taeyong’s dream is continuing, so their dreams can be related because one starts by waking up on his dream (the beginning) and the other connected ends up waking up in the reality (the end). SOYD is the beginning and 7th Sense is the end. But now BOTH cases can be a beginning and and end.
Maybe all the members of NCT can’t synchronize their dreams at the same time with the “universe”, only a few of them and when the number is exceed, someone loses it, interrupting their dream until they synchronize again. The NCT boys are using a “Astral Project under the universe” to connect each other. TIf you look well: In SOYD, Taeyong looks confused in the beginning, he’s not used to synchronizate his dream, but in 7th Sense, it’s something normal to Winwin, he’s already used to his “anomaly”.
Why anomaly? Their songs has been conected all the times. They tried to say their concept with their lyrics.

Reference to Lucid Dreams and their 7th Sense.

Almost all the music is about their road on their dreams and their 7th Sense.

Sorry for my bad english, but there's still a lot of things to discover under their concept.
A little addition from me for this theory, based on the lyrics of Synchronization of Your Dreams, translated by @LTY_Int on twitter.
I personally think that this is in the same red line with Aoora's theory.

Like they experimented on the boys and turned them into dream synchronizers.
Hence the trauma.
And some can be more traumatized than others, Dojae could be the most traumatized. Which would explain why they mess up the dream synch.
MAYBE the scientists didn't turn them into dream synchers at the same time.
Dojae could've been turned more recently than MarkTenyong which is why it's harder for them to control the dream and not get overwhelmed by their past traumas and emotions.
Traumas that make the dream unstable and become a nightmare.

And if you focus only on the flashes, you can see that this hand doesn't move and after the tattoo and the analogy to the syringes, this hand moves a little. Like a spasm.
My thoughts: Doyoung and the girl is a dream.

Jaehyun is in the glass box where the scientists put him in a state of dream synchronization.

3. The Door Theory + The SM Planned This Before Theory + The Without You Teaser Theory + The Without You MV Theory by RebelB2uty
Here are a string of theories I came up with with the help of my fellow stans.

1.I feel like this is that Dream Sync building and/or maze place,
where their (NCTs) dreams all connect. Like I feel like maybe this is
where they all "wake up" in once they've stepped into the next plane,
conscious (lucid) dreaming.
2. Best frame of Jaehyun's room but it's identical to Doyoung's. I'm guessing Mark's door is behind his because of the red glow there. Doyoung's door must be near Ten's judging by the identical wooden/marble looks.
3.Taeyong's is blueish white, which reflects the 'coldness' within his mind, it seems they went for an 'Ice Prince' type of feel. (TY's atmosphere cr. KimJin) Their doors seem the same but their atmosphere reflects their mind and what their dream is (helped in noticing cr. KimJin).
4. Ten's room in black and white-
5. Tens room has a jungle like feel to it. I thought that was marble but it would make more sense as wood.. And his lyrics in Open The Door tho- "Like a King Kong this jungle is my kingdom, flying to the top like an eagle was my freedom". So maybe his dreams involve him wanting freedom or the jungle in general.

In his dream gone negative, he's not in the box. So maybe when they're not actively dreaming anymore, their room (their "door") goes negative like this. When they dream their room illuminates.

Call me reaching here but that little move he does, from laying on his hand to not-- I think this is him waking up into the dream sync. Like in the real world he's probably crouched in some corner so he could sleep and wake up in the dream.
( What I thought before SM box set them:
So maybe the MV will start with them all waking up in their doors.. And maybe they'll be all out and about and dreaming and then the video will end with them going back.)
The 'SM Planned This Before' Theory
So I think.. SM had the basic idea for how the dreams would be represented in their 7th Sense MV back when they made SOYD. But then they refined it. Mark still has the tiled look behind him on the walls (it's brick but still, there are tiles all in the teaser), Ten still has the jungle plants and- Taeyong still has the glowing giant lightsticks.

There's also a broken door in his teaser.. I just not too long ago noticed the door hanging off its hinges behind him while he was dancing. Somewhere along the lines, SM has been thinking into this concept for awhile now. In the end they just decided to go from 'dark bad boys', to '90s weed house vibrance'. Idk it's SM, should've expected this after what happened with Mr.Simple
The Without You Teaser Theory
This particular one will sound a little delulu if you've seen the MV already, BUT some of the things here /do/ pass down into what happens in the actual MV, and after all this was before I saw the MV myself lol.
Okay so rolling with Aoora- This MV takes place in the reality. Let me start with Taeil and WinWin because I think Doyoung and Jaehyun will be more in depth.
Taeil is alone and walking along it seems. I believe they either can't see him, or he is looking for them- or for WinWin (the answer). Hard to say since he didn't get that screen time enough in the teaser. In the case of WinWin, I do believe he could be traveling through time as Aoora also said. He's probably traveling to stop what he knows is going to happen, from the vision that broke his dream sync in the original teaser for him called 7th sense. (Btw 7th Sense having the same name as WinWins teaser is no coincedence I'm sure. But moving on.)
To explain what I believe WinWin is trying to stop; Its time to go into Jaehyun and Doyoung. To begin with; I'm not sure of Doyoung and Jaehyun's relationships exactly, they could be brothers or they could just be friends, or nothing at all.
Okay so remember how in Aoora (and I's) theory- something is meant to go wrong with their Dream Sync? And how it was pointed out that lucid dreaming could go awry if the person became "too concious", and the dream began manifesting past traumas the person has, with people and things acting of their own accord, despite the dreamer being the one who is supposed to control everything that happens?

Based on these screenshots and the teaser, and knowing SM and how kdramas can be tbh- Jaehyun and Doyoung are connected by this blonde girl in the teaser in the present. I think she's a common love interest or who knows what (this thought of mine changes later in our theory but only slightly).
These screenshots though, I believe are the boy's traumas, and/or past memories that have had a pretty big impact on them and could be something that affects their dreams.
The girl whispering to the boy has to be one of their memories with the girl, I'm going to guess this is Jaehyun- by the way he looks at Doyoung and the girl. His past trauma/memory involves her somehow and I think she either broke his heart, or he still loves her, and/or something happened between them. I for some reason am starting to think that maybe Without You is a lucid dream of Jaehyun's that Doyoung's ended up connecting to, and Jaehyun is wondering why tf he's here interfering with his love life again-
The doctors and scientists or what not are definitely traumatic I believe, and are what play into the Dream Sync ending up to become a nightmare. I don't know what the doctors/scientists could've done to Doyoung and Jaehyun exactly, but I have a feeling they're involved.
Remember how the theory was that Doyoung and Jaehyun are the ones most likely to fuxk the boys Dream Sync over? This adds up to that. And we ended up narrowing it down to Doyoung. This adds up to that too- I think Doyoung is who really loses it. When he's dreaming of being on a date with the same girl Jaehyun is dreaming about (this is why Jaehyun walks in on them, I believe he expected to walk in with just her there- But also, in lucid dreams, you can imagine people in specific there, but you cannot control them. So nothing would be stopping the girl from even choosing Doyoung over him, even in his dream world. ) BUT BACK TO DOYOUNG- when he's playing the arcade game with her, or just in general- something about the lights triggers his traumatic memories to interfere with his dream and he ends up remembering what he'd rather not. (again something to do with those scientist doctor people). His teaser, involves his "Door" being a room full mirrors.. I take this as his mind representing the different ways he sees himself, and I think he doesn't know what to think of himself because of whatever traumatic happened to him.
Soooo in conclusion, Taeil is out beginning to search for the boys and "The Answer", Doyoung and Jaehyun are having their dreams intertwine in this dream sync- which is set to turn into a Nightmare for the both of them, with Jaehyun being upset over the one he likes and Doyoung remembering the past--
And WinWin is in a hurry to stop them both before they screw uuup and/or get that girl involved. Because if something bad were to happen to her in dream world it'd affect her actual self in reality. This theory also morphs into a "what if" pertaining to this MV being more dream based- rather than whether or not this MV is going to showcase the traumas of DoJae that caused 7th sense. Which in itself is a whole other theory that is not far off.
And Reaching into Jin's theory: Especially if Mark is really "The Explorer". It would mean the "scientists", intended to experiment with Dream Syncronization, and that each of the boys was supposed to end up with a different strength in them. I.e, let's say Mark is the Explorer, so he can dream jump the best, and then Ten the "teleporter", who can go in and out of dreaming and reality the best, and then like WinWin who can control his consciousness the best.
See now tHAT'S reaching.
The Without You M/V Theory
We've been thinking that Doyoung or Jaehyun would fuxk it up from the beginning but it's looking more and more like naive and oh so innocent Doyoung is going to. Hes like that kid you give a crayon and a piece of paper to, but instead he goes and draws all over the walls too.
I was thinking WinWin was on his way to try and stop the Doyoung and Jaehyun situation, and more than likely farther back than that. For now I think Taeil was minding his own business and ran into Doyoung and that girl... Wondering why the two of them were together in his dream. He doesn't get why Doyoung doesn't understand that he's conscious within his dream and then that girl, he's surprised to see the girl there (again, as she is someone who fully reminds him of the past) and it makes him want to go visit his past memory- to wonder if that's really her and why she's there.
Like what if she was his childhood friend and she was the very first person to get that dream sync experiment done on them and Taeil couldn't save her? As Aoora pointed out to me- What if she actually died from the experiment, and that is why Taeil is surprised again to see her? Like what if it turns out Doyoung really liked her himself, and so they're (the scientists) using his little love struck heart as a way to get him to be an experiment with them. And like Jin said up there^, Doyoung by the end of the dream realizes that it's all just a dream and it isn't real and now he wants to gtfo because he's hurt.
So in the end of the dream we see him trying to run away from it- and then that last scene of the boy's shadow, and that black and white background.. I believe the black and white background were brain wave readings and that shadow was Doyoung trying to gtfo.
Which would mean the scientists caught him again and forced him back to sleep. And sooo, because it was all traumatic; Doyoung will end up entering lucid state unstably and therefore it turns the whole thing into the 7th sense nightmare..
To me it's like Taeil thought that the whole experiment was given up on, but to see that girl with another guy in his dream made him have an "No.. No this can't be it.. can it?" moment and he therefore visits his past to see if it is..
Like this MV is how it all started.
And Winwin I believe is confident that he can change things, so he's on his way /all/ the way back to the past to stop it /all/ from the very beginning. That's why he isn't surprised to see Taeil or anything on the bus that represents the two of them traveling through time. He's just sure he can keep any of them from ever suffering this mess.
My Final Thoughts
I just thought about this after all of that up there, and with talking to Aoora, OP and KimJin-
So in the end of "7th Sense", Doyoung gets the line, "I'm not alone.. I.. I.."
So what if- the other boys, Mark, Taeyong, Ten, and even Jaehyun are all experiments who lived but they all have "opened their eyes" and don't want to do this anymore? They all want to get out? Doyoung is the first to realize he fuxked up but that doesn't mean the others haven't by 7th sense or won't.
What if 7th sense is them telling their stories through the song.. Like in the song they're actually talking to each other.. and Doyoung's final line is his final thought after meeting them where they all are trapped- Him realizing "I'm not the only one".
4. Updated Theory: Follow Up theory
Hello! After all these days, we (me, chcft34, KimJin and RebelB2UTY) are back with a new follow-up of our theory because FINALLY Without You is released and there is a few things that no one saw.
The 7th Sense:
1. Jaehyun is trapped on a glass box. Only a glass box.
2. Taeyong is trapped in a glass box with some lightning, and, if you remember well, in the 1st teaser of NCT (Synchronization of your dreams), when Taeyong was dancing, there was the same lightning.
3. Mark is trapped in a different glass box: There’s walls on his box. And his room also have two doors.
4. Ten has pieces of broken glass in the beginning of the MV, but he was also trapped in a glass box with some plants and stuff. He was the only one who disappeared in the end of his teaser (Which makes me believe that he was the only one who escaped of the dream sync - I’ll explain it later.)
5. Doyoung was trapped in a glass box with mirrors. He also had pieces of broken glass, but in the end it didn’t show what happened to him, which makes me believe that he still trapped in his dream sync.
Winwin’s 7th Sense teaser:
1. He was always looking to the Windows.
2. When he closed his eyes, the lightining became stronger and he saw what the boy of The Origin passed (Past), it also had a close on his eyes. Then, he saw Taeyong waking up and walking into the door (The present that was happening. Taeyong was going to enter on his dream sync to try to find the 7th sense for the first time.) After what he saw, there was a really strong wind in the place and the insect flew away (The insect represents their dream synchronization, when he fly away, it means that their dream sync is going to end).
3. When he “opened” his eyes, he saw everything “moving” and then, Winwin was back to the reality, FINALLY waking up, which proves that the guy in the end of the 3rd teaser of February was Winwin.
Now, starting with Without You:
It’s all a Jaehyun and Doyoung’s dream. Taeil (and Winwin also) is the only one in the reality, but, he is also in a dream synchronization in a few parts of the MV.
If we go through the scientists theory that KimJin wrote, it actually makes sense if we think about the real concept between Without You and The 7th Sense; Jaehyun is the most recent experiment of those scientists, if you guys didn’t noticed, when he was sitting in a sofa, he was acting strange and looking at everything: His fingers was moving slowly, he was discovering how it was being in himself (which he discovers LATER that he was, actually, on Doyoung’s dreams) dreams.
When Jaehyun discovers that he was in Doyoung’s dream? When Doyoung was at a arcade playing with the girl? No, at this time, he was only suspecting that it wasn’t his dream. When Taeil was looking to Doyoung with the girl at a restaurant. If you look very well, you can notice that Jaehyun is outside the place that the dream is, he’s only observing what Doyoung is doing and he can’t notice that Taeil is there, as well, Taeil doesn’t notices that Jaehyun is there and Doyoung didn’t noticed that Taeil was the only one that was conscious in the dream.
And this is his reaction discovering that he is actually, on a Doyoung’s dream.
And in the same place where Taeil, Doyoung and the girl is located, there’s no one outside: They can’t see that Jaehyun is there because it’s his first time doing a dream sync.
But in the present, it’s other story: They are with the scientists, the they are doing experiences on them (Jaehyun and Doyoung) and this is one of these experiences. The girl that Doyoung is dreaming, is actually just a projection of his mind, and she was the first experience of the scientists: She isn’t alive. Which explains why Doyoung was running in some parts of the MV (I’ll explain it later).
To explain WHY Taeil is the only one along with Winwin, that are on the reality, there’s a thing that I noticed in the MV:
This represents the FIRST time travel that tooks place in this MV, this is Taeil’s hand and he is on a train traveling back to the past (which is actually Doyoung and Jaehyun’s present, but they are on a dream sync). If you noticed it, he entered in this train two times and the two times had Winwin on it: That’s why Winwin wasn’t surprised when he saw Taeil, they are going even more back to the past AGAIN.
That’s why they are trapped in a glass box in The 7th Sense, all of them EXCEPTING Winwin and Taeil are part of the scientists experiments. Taeil and Winwin are both the Universe and Answer (the boy and woman of The Origin descendants) who are BORN with this ability of dream sync and time traveling, and the scientists are trying to reproduce this ability in boys, because the girl DIED WHILE SHE WAS PASSING THROUGH THE PROCESS. And they (Winwin and Taeil) are trying to SAVE ALL THE BOYS THAT THE SCIENTISTS ARE TRYING TO REPRODUCE THEIR ABILITY. That’s why there is some who can go through the dream sync normally and others who seems that are having difficulties on it.
In The 7th Sense, in the end of Ten’s teaser, he was the only one who disappeared, representing that he was the only one who Taeil and Winwin saved for now.
You can notice in Without You the part that Taeil is back on the present: When he jumped into a window, sitted and closed his eyes. He was going back to the train that he took to go to the past.

This also represents the fact that Winwin and Taeil are frequently going back to the past to save the new experiments of the scientists to prevent what they saw happening in the future and the scientists are searching for them because of their abilities, because without them, they can’t finish their experiment to create the “perfect” human with the ability of traveling through the time and dream sync (which leads to their 7th sense); because of that, they can’t stay on the same place and era for a long time, if they stay, the scientists are going to find them.
Winwin was going back to the VERY past – When everything started, while Taeil was going back to the train because his plan of saving Doyoung failed, so he’s going back AGAIN with Winwin.
When Doyoung is running away in the MV, it means that he finally noticed what was happening and he wasn’t in the reality: It was a dream sync and NOTHING was a reality. The girl actually was died and he was traumatized because of that, he wants to escape of his dream. And that’s why SM said that they don’t have a “fixed” number of members: Each member who is added, is a new or awakening experiment. And each member who “leaves” the group, will be considered experiment who “died” during the process. Because in every experiment, there’s the ones who survives, those who survives despiting their experimental defects and those who dies during the process. Doyoung might be one of these experiments who survived with defects and Jaehyun, a “perfect” experiment for now.
When Doyoung says “I’m not alone, I”, it means that not only him discovered that they are a experiment of the scientists – Mark, Taeyong, Jaehyun and Ten also noticed that. But Ten was the only one who escaped in the end. They all are waiting for a chance to escape.

2. Best frame of Jaehyun's room but it's identical to Doyoung's. I'm guessing Mark's door is behind his because of the red glow there. Doyoung's door must be near Ten's judging by the identical wooden/marble looks.
3.Taeyong's is blueish white, which reflects the 'coldness' within his mind, it seems they went for an 'Ice Prince' type of feel. (TY's atmosphere cr. KimJin) Their doors seem the same but their atmosphere reflects their mind and what their dream is (helped in noticing cr. KimJin).

5. Tens room has a jungle like feel to it. I thought that was marble but it would make more sense as wood.. And his lyrics in Open The Door tho- "Like a King Kong this jungle is my kingdom, flying to the top like an eagle was my freedom". So maybe his dreams involve him wanting freedom or the jungle in general.

In his dream gone negative, he's not in the box. So maybe when they're not actively dreaming anymore, their room (their "door") goes negative like this. When they dream their room illuminates.

Call me reaching here but that little move he does, from laying on his hand to not-- I think this is him waking up into the dream sync. Like in the real world he's probably crouched in some corner so he could sleep and wake up in the dream.
( What I thought before SM box set them:
So maybe the MV will start with them all waking up in their doors.. And maybe they'll be all out and about and dreaming and then the video will end with them going back.)
The 'SM Planned This Before' Theory
So I think.. SM had the basic idea for how the dreams would be represented in their 7th Sense MV back when they made SOYD. But then they refined it. Mark still has the tiled look behind him on the walls (it's brick but still, there are tiles all in the teaser), Ten still has the jungle plants and- Taeyong still has the glowing giant lightsticks.

There's also a broken door in his teaser.. I just not too long ago noticed the door hanging off its hinges behind him while he was dancing. Somewhere along the lines, SM has been thinking into this concept for awhile now. In the end they just decided to go from 'dark bad boys', to '90s weed house vibrance'. Idk it's SM, should've expected this after what happened with Mr.Simple
The Without You Teaser Theory
This particular one will sound a little delulu if you've seen the MV already, BUT some of the things here /do/ pass down into what happens in the actual MV, and after all this was before I saw the MV myself lol.
Okay so rolling with Aoora- This MV takes place in the reality. Let me start with Taeil and WinWin because I think Doyoung and Jaehyun will be more in depth.
Taeil is alone and walking along it seems. I believe they either can't see him, or he is looking for them- or for WinWin (the answer). Hard to say since he didn't get that screen time enough in the teaser. In the case of WinWin, I do believe he could be traveling through time as Aoora also said. He's probably traveling to stop what he knows is going to happen, from the vision that broke his dream sync in the original teaser for him called 7th sense. (Btw 7th Sense having the same name as WinWins teaser is no coincedence I'm sure. But moving on.)
To explain what I believe WinWin is trying to stop; Its time to go into Jaehyun and Doyoung. To begin with; I'm not sure of Doyoung and Jaehyun's relationships exactly, they could be brothers or they could just be friends, or nothing at all.
Okay so remember how in Aoora (and I's) theory- something is meant to go wrong with their Dream Sync? And how it was pointed out that lucid dreaming could go awry if the person became "too concious", and the dream began manifesting past traumas the person has, with people and things acting of their own accord, despite the dreamer being the one who is supposed to control everything that happens?

Based on these screenshots and the teaser, and knowing SM and how kdramas can be tbh- Jaehyun and Doyoung are connected by this blonde girl in the teaser in the present. I think she's a common love interest or who knows what (this thought of mine changes later in our theory but only slightly).
These screenshots though, I believe are the boy's traumas, and/or past memories that have had a pretty big impact on them and could be something that affects their dreams.
The girl whispering to the boy has to be one of their memories with the girl, I'm going to guess this is Jaehyun- by the way he looks at Doyoung and the girl. His past trauma/memory involves her somehow and I think she either broke his heart, or he still loves her, and/or something happened between them. I for some reason am starting to think that maybe Without You is a lucid dream of Jaehyun's that Doyoung's ended up connecting to, and Jaehyun is wondering why tf he's here interfering with his love life again-
The doctors and scientists or what not are definitely traumatic I believe, and are what play into the Dream Sync ending up to become a nightmare. I don't know what the doctors/scientists could've done to Doyoung and Jaehyun exactly, but I have a feeling they're involved.
Remember how the theory was that Doyoung and Jaehyun are the ones most likely to fuxk the boys Dream Sync over? This adds up to that. And we ended up narrowing it down to Doyoung. This adds up to that too- I think Doyoung is who really loses it. When he's dreaming of being on a date with the same girl Jaehyun is dreaming about (this is why Jaehyun walks in on them, I believe he expected to walk in with just her there- But also, in lucid dreams, you can imagine people in specific there, but you cannot control them. So nothing would be stopping the girl from even choosing Doyoung over him, even in his dream world. ) BUT BACK TO DOYOUNG- when he's playing the arcade game with her, or just in general- something about the lights triggers his traumatic memories to interfere with his dream and he ends up remembering what he'd rather not. (again something to do with those scientist doctor people). His teaser, involves his "Door" being a room full mirrors.. I take this as his mind representing the different ways he sees himself, and I think he doesn't know what to think of himself because of whatever traumatic happened to him.
Soooo in conclusion, Taeil is out beginning to search for the boys and "The Answer", Doyoung and Jaehyun are having their dreams intertwine in this dream sync- which is set to turn into a Nightmare for the both of them, with Jaehyun being upset over the one he likes and Doyoung remembering the past--
And WinWin is in a hurry to stop them both before they screw uuup and/or get that girl involved. Because if something bad were to happen to her in dream world it'd affect her actual self in reality. This theory also morphs into a "what if" pertaining to this MV being more dream based- rather than whether or not this MV is going to showcase the traumas of DoJae that caused 7th sense. Which in itself is a whole other theory that is not far off.
And Reaching into Jin's theory: Especially if Mark is really "The Explorer". It would mean the "scientists", intended to experiment with Dream Syncronization, and that each of the boys was supposed to end up with a different strength in them. I.e, let's say Mark is the Explorer, so he can dream jump the best, and then Ten the "teleporter", who can go in and out of dreaming and reality the best, and then like WinWin who can control his consciousness the best.

The Without You M/V Theory
We've been thinking that Doyoung or Jaehyun would fuxk it up from the beginning but it's looking more and more like naive and oh so innocent Doyoung is going to. Hes like that kid you give a crayon and a piece of paper to, but instead he goes and draws all over the walls too.
I was thinking WinWin was on his way to try and stop the Doyoung and Jaehyun situation, and more than likely farther back than that. For now I think Taeil was minding his own business and ran into Doyoung and that girl... Wondering why the two of them were together in his dream. He doesn't get why Doyoung doesn't understand that he's conscious within his dream and then that girl, he's surprised to see the girl there (again, as she is someone who fully reminds him of the past) and it makes him want to go visit his past memory- to wonder if that's really her and why she's there.
Like what if she was his childhood friend and she was the very first person to get that dream sync experiment done on them and Taeil couldn't save her? As Aoora pointed out to me- What if she actually died from the experiment, and that is why Taeil is surprised again to see her? Like what if it turns out Doyoung really liked her himself, and so they're (the scientists) using his little love struck heart as a way to get him to be an experiment with them. And like Jin said up there^, Doyoung by the end of the dream realizes that it's all just a dream and it isn't real and now he wants to gtfo because he's hurt.
So in the end of the dream we see him trying to run away from it- and then that last scene of the boy's shadow, and that black and white background.. I believe the black and white background were brain wave readings and that shadow was Doyoung trying to gtfo.
Which would mean the scientists caught him again and forced him back to sleep. And sooo, because it was all traumatic; Doyoung will end up entering lucid state unstably and therefore it turns the whole thing into the 7th sense nightmare..
To me it's like Taeil thought that the whole experiment was given up on, but to see that girl with another guy in his dream made him have an "No.. No this can't be it.. can it?" moment and he therefore visits his past to see if it is..
Like this MV is how it all started.
And Winwin I believe is confident that he can change things, so he's on his way /all/ the way back to the past to stop it /all/ from the very beginning. That's why he isn't surprised to see Taeil or anything on the bus that represents the two of them traveling through time. He's just sure he can keep any of them from ever suffering this mess.
My Final Thoughts
I just thought about this after all of that up there, and with talking to Aoora, OP and KimJin-
So in the end of "7th Sense", Doyoung gets the line, "I'm not alone.. I.. I.."
So what if- the other boys, Mark, Taeyong, Ten, and even Jaehyun are all experiments who lived but they all have "opened their eyes" and don't want to do this anymore? They all want to get out? Doyoung is the first to realize he fuxked up but that doesn't mean the others haven't by 7th sense or won't.
What if 7th sense is them telling their stories through the song.. Like in the song they're actually talking to each other.. and Doyoung's final line is his final thought after meeting them where they all are trapped- Him realizing "I'm not the only one".
4. Updated Theory: Follow Up theory
Hello! After all these days, we (me, chcft34, KimJin and RebelB2UTY) are back with a new follow-up of our theory because FINALLY Without You is released and there is a few things that no one saw.
The 7th Sense:
1. Jaehyun is trapped on a glass box. Only a glass box.
2. Taeyong is trapped in a glass box with some lightning, and, if you remember well, in the 1st teaser of NCT (Synchronization of your dreams), when Taeyong was dancing, there was the same lightning.
3. Mark is trapped in a different glass box: There’s walls on his box. And his room also have two doors.
4. Ten has pieces of broken glass in the beginning of the MV, but he was also trapped in a glass box with some plants and stuff. He was the only one who disappeared in the end of his teaser (Which makes me believe that he was the only one who escaped of the dream sync - I’ll explain it later.)
5. Doyoung was trapped in a glass box with mirrors. He also had pieces of broken glass, but in the end it didn’t show what happened to him, which makes me believe that he still trapped in his dream sync.
Winwin’s 7th Sense teaser:
1. He was always looking to the Windows.
2. When he closed his eyes, the lightining became stronger and he saw what the boy of The Origin passed (Past), it also had a close on his eyes. Then, he saw Taeyong waking up and walking into the door (The present that was happening. Taeyong was going to enter on his dream sync to try to find the 7th sense for the first time.) After what he saw, there was a really strong wind in the place and the insect flew away (The insect represents their dream synchronization, when he fly away, it means that their dream sync is going to end).
3. When he “opened” his eyes, he saw everything “moving” and then, Winwin was back to the reality, FINALLY waking up, which proves that the guy in the end of the 3rd teaser of February was Winwin.
Now, starting with Without You:
It’s all a Jaehyun and Doyoung’s dream. Taeil (and Winwin also) is the only one in the reality, but, he is also in a dream synchronization in a few parts of the MV.
If we go through the scientists theory that KimJin wrote, it actually makes sense if we think about the real concept between Without You and The 7th Sense; Jaehyun is the most recent experiment of those scientists, if you guys didn’t noticed, when he was sitting in a sofa, he was acting strange and looking at everything: His fingers was moving slowly, he was discovering how it was being in himself (which he discovers LATER that he was, actually, on Doyoung’s dreams) dreams.
When Jaehyun discovers that he was in Doyoung’s dream? When Doyoung was at a arcade playing with the girl? No, at this time, he was only suspecting that it wasn’t his dream. When Taeil was looking to Doyoung with the girl at a restaurant. If you look very well, you can notice that Jaehyun is outside the place that the dream is, he’s only observing what Doyoung is doing and he can’t notice that Taeil is there, as well, Taeil doesn’t notices that Jaehyun is there and Doyoung didn’t noticed that Taeil was the only one that was conscious in the dream.
